Hello Junkies!

So I’ve been inspired to by one of my natural hair followers and decided to write an article on hair care.

Now, though my hair is currently perm - I was once natural too (oh how I miss my curls). Anyway this article is not only for natural hair, it’s for perm hair as well because we all have to take care of our hair as ladies - fellas I’m sure you can keep this in mind as well.

Natural Hair

As a female (or male) with natural hair that is very curly, or wavy hair - anything other than straight you must always keep up the maintenance.  You must always find out what is good for your hair as far as oils, conditioners, treatments etc. The best oils to use are Coconut, Cod-liver, Olive Oil or Argan Oil. Now you cannot just put oils in your hair and walk outside, you have to put something else in it to keep that moist look. So, try putting in leave in conditions and mix it with some frizz control if you have the type of hair that always gets frizzy. I normally use Argan Oil products which work magic for both natural and perm hair. For the night, depending on your hair, curly - I suggest Bantu Knots, wavy and other textures - braiding it in two pigtails or cornrows or French braids. It’s never easy keeping up with your natural hair because there is so much that you need to do and figure out on your own. I just gave you a few tips but to be honest you really have to go out and find what suits your hair best..

Perm Hair

For perm hair there isn’t much to do when it comes to maintenance. Make sure you put a treatment in your every two weeks - the best ones are mayonnaise, carrot, argan oil and olive oil treatments. Just put it in your hair after a shampoo & condition -leave it under a shower cap for 45 minutes or under a dryer for 25 minutes. Then rinse out and style however I rather put rollers in my hair and air dry it - that’s when it comes out best.  As far as, what’s the best perms to use, I highly recommend Olive Oil or Argan Oil. Now do not put a treatment the same day as your perm, I suggest doing it the next week or week after next. Also, every night wrap your hair - try rotating every night - meaning one night wrap your hair counter clockwise starting on your left and next night start on your right.

One major important rule when you have perm or natural hair do not flat iron it all the time - especially for natural hair because that can cause heat damage to the point your natural hair will no longer be in its natural state it will  be forever straight until you do some total repairing which can take quite a while.

SO  my junkies I sign out here, and urge you to do further research and experimenting!

Hello My Junkies!
Coming to you with a Fashion Coated Review!
I know some of you may be a little skeptical about purchasing clothes online, but I am here to save you! So have no fear, NastyGal and ASOS is here. It’s not until college when I first discovered this. My teacher was giving a lecture and mention ASOS and WGSN mentioned NastyGal.
Now I know for those who shop online they don’t take too much fancy of it because of shipping and most likely to get free shipping you have to spend a certain amount of money to do so. WELL, though ASOS is a UK online store and you would have to pay like 2.50 for international fee, it’s well worth because you only have to spend $25 to get free shipping! You get good quality clothes, bags and accessories shipped to your house for free! NastyGal on the other hand you have to spend $75 - but guess what? It’s totally worth it!. “Quality over Quantity” If it’s on WGSN then it’s worth the price, why? because WGSN is worlds fashion intelligence website that has everything from latest street trends to latest runway trends!

I Just order some stuff from ASOS so I’ll def come back to you with product reviews!!

FashionCoated Beauty Tip Of The Month!
People always say I have nice skin. Well to be honest I literally try lol. My skin is very oily at times and occasionally a pimple here and there, but overall on a good day my skins is nice, smooth and clear.
So my junkies I am sharing with you just a snippet of what’s behind my bathroom mirror. I use a lot of other products too. The key to keeping clear skin, is to not use ALL of your products ALL the time, space it out - so your skin won’t become immune to it.
Out of all the products I have there are only 4 I use daily.
In the Morning, I use Clean & Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub, it’s not only good but it’s def a refreshing feeling and it really wakes you up when you’re still half sleep and need to get ready for class.
After I use this I instantly take a cotton ball and put Clean & Clear Deep Cleanser on to dry out my face a little since its so oily. I highly recommend it because it leaves your face oil free for the entire day.
To end my morning routine I use Ambi fading cream to even out my skin and clear all the pimple spots. Depending on the temperature I choose to just use this at night because my face can get extremely hot at times with lotion on it and I hate to sweat when I’m not playing any sports. I’ve been using this cream for about 5 years now and it really works, it takes time, but it works.
For my night time routine, instead of the Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub, I use the Foaming Facial Cleanser. and after one more cotton ball of the Deep Cleanser.
Bonus!
Now Here’s something everyone should do at least once a month. Facial Mask! My favorite is the Mint Julep. I leave it on for 15 mins or until it start to get hard and scaly and then rise off. Leaves my skin soft, smooth and silky. sometimes I switch off and use the Honey & Oats mask.
Now junkies I sign you off with my secrete to clear skin, keep in mind what I said and you should see results over time!

5 Great Places to Take Your Sweetie During the Summer

Hello My Junkies,

So I was watching the news one day and they were doing a story - which leads me to write this article. Some of these places are free and some aren’t.

  1. There’s nothing like a blanket and picnic basket lay out on the lawn watching a movie in Bryant Park. HBO host an annual movie screening every Monday night at Bryant Park starting Mid-June. The park space opens up at 5pm and the movie normally begin when sun set. Although some of my readers are not from New York City, I’m pretty sure wherever you are - you can do some research to find out if this type of event is taken place where you reside.
  2. Governors Island is also a cute spot in NYC where you can pack some sandwiches and just hang out by the water enjoying the sunset (or sunrise for my early birds) or just throughout the day. Tip: don’t go out on the hottest day - make sure the temperature is at least warm with some breeze here and there; don’t want to burn in the sun. Like I said, for those who do not reside in NYC… try going to the pier, docs, lakes or somewhere that has a beautiful view of water that isn’t the beach.
  3. Another site to see with relaxing waves would be, Battery Park. This is definitely my favorite park in NYC, the view is absolutely amazing. Now, if you are going to go I recommend you walk the entire park area to get the experience and see why I fell in love with it. What an attraction. This is a cute date for my love bird junkies who like long walks in the parks with their sweetie.
  4. Coming at number four, Dave & Busters. There’s nothing like an “Eat & Play” experience. I don’t know about outside of the U.S but I suggest going on their website to see if there’s one in your area. This is definitely a place can break the ice on a first date or any date. It’s a place where you can literally just let your guard down and be a kid again. You must be 18 and older to go but if not you can always have a chaperon.
  5. Coming in at number five, I have to honest, you really cannot go wrong with the classic dinner and a movie or if you don’t want to go eat probably frozen yogurt or ice cream and a movie.

BONUS!

         6. So I know I said five but I had to add a bonus one. I’m obviously very into gorgeous views and you would be surprise what it can do to someone’s mood. It’s all about being able to just relax and enjoy the company of your sweetie to be honest. You do not need money to have a good time/intimate. With that said, I also recommend just a night out at the High Line. I say go when it’s getting close to sunset because to me everything looks better at around that time, especially the view of the city that the High Line Display.
